Client Problem

Health system strategists use category and market information as context for managing enterprise brand and business growth strategies. They do not need more information – they are already overwhelmed with news, opinions, and data from multiple sources. What they crave more of or feel is missing is a resource to curate the flow of information to know “what” is most important; and to gain high-value insights into how it is relevant to their enterprise strategies.

Service Features and Benefits of a High-Value Solution
Continuous feed of information that is relevant to the health care category
Configurable menu of public news and data sources that is most relevant to the client
Customized insights based on BVK understanding of the client’s specific strategy KPIs
Actionable tools that can be adapted by the client in response to macro trends / market insights

Target User

The standard news fee and configurable menu of information is focused on meeting the needs of:

Health system chief strategy officers and others responsible for strategic enterprise direction.
Business line leads (physician enterprise, acute inpatient care, clinically integrated networks).
This service is not a tool for all management. It targets executives (and their teams) that define the enterprise value-chain and make decisions about resource allocations to achieve strategy goals.
Source of Competitive Advantage.

EISS is meaningful and distinctive in the market because it...

Integrates the “what” of fresh data with the “so what” of expert analysis and client-specific insight.
Is accessible through an on-demand platform with continuously updated client specific bundles.
Curation and annotation by senior strategists who can offer client-specific insight.

Competitor Offerings

There are many news-reader services in the market, including dominant aggregators like Google that allow people to search, sort, and feed based on keywords and topics. We are not in that competitive set.
Competitors like Revive Health, Navigant and BDC have “chat” services that allow people to query them about specific questions and offer category specific articles, blogs and publications that are generally relevant to all health systems. We are not trying to compete as an “Ask Jeeves” service for the category.
The gap in the competitive set that we are filling is high-value, automated mentorship and of counsel support. We are differentiated because we have excerpt, client-specific curation, annotation and insights

Resource Requirements

To credibly and sustainably deliver the EISS service features and benefits will require a host of different inputs, outlined at a high-level in the following pro forma.
